Seven-Layer Taco Salad

Ingredients:

  • Base Layer:
  • 1 can refried beans or 1 pound ground beef, cooked and drained
  • Sour Cream Layer:
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Remaining Layers:
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Serve With:
  • Tortilla chips

Instructions:

  1. Mix Sour Cream:
  • Combine sour cream, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  1. Layer Base:
  • Spread refried beans or cooked ground beef in a 9×13 inch dish.
  1. Add Sour Cream:
  • Spread seasoned sour cream mixture over base layer.
  1. Continue Layering:
  • Layer salsa
  • Add shredded cheese
  • Top with lettuce
  • Spread diced tomatoes
  • Finish with black olives and green onions
  1. Serve:
  • Present with tortilla chips on the side.

Tips:
