KFC Coleslaw

A creamy and tangy coleslaw recipe inspired by KFC’s famous side dish. Perfectly balances sweetness and acidity, making it a refreshing addition to any meal.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon onion, finely grated
⅓ cup sugar
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup buttermilk, well shaken
¼ cup whole milk
1 ½ tablespoons white vinegar
2 ½ tablespoons fresh lemon juice
½ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon black pepper
8 cups or 1-16 ounce bag coleslaw cabbage, finely diced
¼ cup carrot, shredded (omit if using bagged coleslaw mix)
Directions:
In a large bowl, whisk together onion, sugar, mayonnaise, buttermilk, whole milk, vinegar, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.
Add coleslaw cabbage and shredded carrot (if using) to the bowl. Mix until the cabbage is evenly coated with the dressing.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld.
Stir well before serving. Enjoy chilled as a delicious side dish!
