Pecan Pie Brownies
Ingredients:
Brownies:
(Use a boxed mix, or make homemade brownies with these ingredients)
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks), melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Pecan Pie Topping:
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions:
- Prepare the Brownies: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine melted butter and sugar, mixing until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, then stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until well combined.
- Pour brownie batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Bake Brownies: Bake for 20 minutes or until the brownies are partially set (they’ll bake more with the topping).
- Pecan Pie Topping: In another bowl, mix corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir in chopped pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the partially baked brownies, spreading it evenly.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is set and lightly golden.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares. Enjoy!
