Classic Fried Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:
Chicken pieces (drumsticks, thighs, wings) 🍗
Buttermilk 🥛 (for marinating)
Flour 🌾 (for coating)
Cornstarch 🌽 (for extra crunch)
Salt and pepper 🧂
Paprika 🌶️
Garlic powder 🧄
Onion powder 🧅
Cayenne pepper (optional for a spicy kick)
Vegetable oil 🛢️ (for frying)
Instructions:
Marinate the Chicken:

In a bowl, mix buttermilk with a little salt, pepper, and paprika.
Add the chicken pieces, making sure they are fully coated, and let them marinate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best flavor).
Prepare the Coating:

In another bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper if desired.
Coat the Chicken:

Take each piece of marinated chicken and coat it thoroughly in the flour mixture, pressing it onto the chicken to create a thick, even layer.
Fry the Chicken:

Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F (175°C).
Carefully add the coated chicken pieces, a few at a time, to avoid crowding the pan.
Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 12-15 minutes, depending on the size of the pieces. Make sure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) for safe cooking.
Drain and Serve:

Remove the chicken from the oil and place it on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serve hot and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauces or sides.
