Cheesy Ground Beef Rice Casserole


Ingredients
1 C. Cooked rice
1 lb. Ground beef
1 C. Chicken broth
2 Onion chopped
1 C. Sour cream
2 tsp. Garlic powder
2 C. Shredded cheddar cheese
8 oz. Can tomato sauce
1 C. Frozen peas
Salt pepper and oregano to taste
Instructions
Add the ground beef and onions to a skillet over medium high heat, and saute until the beef is browned and onions have softened. Drain the excess fat.
Stir in the garlic powder, oregano and salt and pepper to taste.
Stir in the broth, rice, tomato sauce, peas and 1 cup of the shredded cheese. Simmer for 3-5 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees.
Spread the mixture into a well greased baking dish, and bake for 15 minutes.
Mix together the sour cream and remaining shredded cheese.
Spread the mixture over the casserole, and return to the oven for another 15 minutes.
