Ingredients :
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons of baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
• 4 large eggs
• 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
• 1 cup of whole milk
• 2 cups buttercream frosting

- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture alternately with milk, starting and ending with flour.
- Pour batter into two greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn onto wire racks to cool completely
- Once cooled, frost with buttercream and decorate as desired.
